I am an 86 year old, X-Amish, retired farmer, gay, artist, and my blog is located at Isaac Stolzfuts’ Journal. In my journal (blog) I write about gay art, my art, my life at Pine Needle Retirement Home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, my travels as I look for a new WARMER place to live in Florida, Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual (LGBT) studies, philosophy, and politics.
As a senior citizen, I am concerned about the ageing process, and the greater society’s ageism. Particularly I worry about older lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people, as there are no organizations and services at the local level specifically designed to help them survive in their own living quarters with the possible exception of SAGE in New York City. I also write about my life as an 86 year old gay man because I am working hard at remaining a vital human being, involved in various physical, intellectual, and spiritual activities. I include several linked journals about myself, My Family Photo Album, Stephen Gulliver’s Journal, Straight World and Isaac’s Art at the site of my primary journal. I include photographs I have taken as often as possible.
Here is an example. It shows Blowing Rocks on Jupiter Island, Florida. I took the photograph last week.
There is sensitive material in my blog, and it may not always be politically correct, however, it is a serious attempt to represent myself as an ageing gay, artist, thinking, liberal Democrat, Christian man.
