There used to be a time when children and teenagers wrote down their innermost thoughts and feelings on a notebook that they held short of sacred. Diaries and journals were the bearer of an individual’s secrets – their contents were not to be shared with other people.
The Internet has totally changed that mentality. Today, people share their feelings and thoughts to other people – no, the rest of the world – through their personal blogs. Deep In Thought is a prime example of a personal blog which serves as the outlet for its writer. You can expect to come across topics ranging from religion, love, death, dreams, and every other thing that you meet in this thing called life.

At the time of writing this I am almost 30 – something probably far worse than actually being 30. The reason I say that is because I imagine once one actually becomes 30 one no longer sits around contemplating the fact that it’s happening soon.I’m divorced, and as you read you’ll probably encounter a few references to the “seven years in exile”, which of course were the seven unhappy years of my marriage.
I have four children and a wonderful girlfriend (and mother to the most recent). At this time in my life, everything is good, really good.
Jen is nothing short of being the most amazing person I know. I could labour that point endlessly, but I’ll save that for a dedicated entry and you can choose to read it… or not!
I have an intense need to express my feelings, and this blog answers that need. I could see a shrink, but I honestly hate them. I consider daily life to be a distraction from why I am really here – to make sense of everything. I would honestly rather not exist at all than live a life unconsidered. I have to know why I’m here, where I’m from, and where I’m going. So this blog also serves as a kind of dialogue between me and I, on our journey to self discovery.
