I don’t know what this guy was smoking but he’s pretty hilarious despite me not understanding much of what he’s written.
Yeah, even if it took me ten seconds to figure out that I can’t figure him out, Merlyn Trey Hunter’s Truth to Power: Dissent into Gladness, a satire blog was still pretty funny, even though I can’t figure out why I found it funny. :p
Since today is a special day for me and my fiancé, so I’ll do something special: a Top Ten of the blogs I’ve reviewed so far.
Well, not really a “top ten.” More like a Top Seven. 🙂
7 – Goes to “Allay Me”: Welcome to Your Personal Enlightenment. This blog makes you think, basically, so even if I don’t agree with most of Robert Michael’s views, I’ll admit that he made me think, that’s why he’s on my list.
6 – I really can’t argue with well-written psychology and research articles, and both of them in one blog. Since this is a look into an insider of an intriguing profession, one I have background and a deep interest in, C.R. Petersen makes my cut.
5 – Being a budding netrepreneur myself, I like reading about others’ online moneymaking journeys. And you just have to admire Ivy’s strategy. And she’s only 20.
I really can’t decide which of these two to actually put before the other, so I’ll keep them tied to spot # 3.5.
3.5 – While Shira Tamir is definitely the more articulate of the two women tied for this spot, the “vibe” she sends out: somewhat jaded, and somewhat hard-edged at some points in her prose helped push me to the decision to opt for the tie instead of putting her on #3. But her work is definitely thought-provoking and her arrangement of her affiliate ads is absolutely admirable.
3.5 – Thoughts and Tips by Laila Hussein-Shoukry is pretty thought-provoking and poignant. This makes for reading that will not only make you think, it will also tug at your heartstrings. Despite being filled with reposts of pro-Muslim songs, this tugged at my heartstrings, because I know what it’s like to be misunderstood.
2.5 – “The Blogosphere’s answer to Geriatric 1927,” a.k.a. Colin of Musings of a Middle Age Male writes pieces reminiscent of a Reader’s Digest poignant, feel-good article, that’s why he’s at the top of my list.
2.5 – Ian Gomersall posts some of the most breathtaking nature pictures I’ve seen. So even if, as he admits, that his blog is pretty messy, I still put him on top, because one look at his scenery pictures and I was smitten.
1 – It has got to be Jen Mac in my book! Her quirky, innovative, even sometimes borderline shocking posts just give me an escape from the true craziness of my life. So her brand of crazy is refreshing to me.
Well, that wraps it up for the best blogs I’ve featured so far. I actually put in one blog more than I should have, but I didn’t really want to drop anything off the list. Methinks I’ll do this every two months, just for kicks. 🙂
