The “Fire Bill O’Reilly” petition and blog were created in response to Bill O’Reilly’s on-air promotion of his own petition to fire Keith Olbermann of MSNBC.
Fox’s slogan is “Fair and Balanced”, and O’Reilly has always let his viewers known what he feels isn’t “fair and balanced.” Having a petition to fire Keith Olbermann is not “fair and balanced,” as it only presents Mr. O’Reilly’s view. For this reason, I have created the “Fire Bill O’Reilly” petition and blog, and emailed Mr. O’Reilly, requesting that my petition has equal air-time with his own petition. That seems fair and balanced to me.
