There are blogs and there are blogs. Quite frankly, I haven’t seen anyone blog with as mild-mannered humor with a slight tang of sarcasm (or is it irony?) with as smoothness as fine and perfectly aged wine. And indeed, Colin’s prose and humor go down with a relish that could be described as no less than the finest red wine on earth.
He may well be the (written-word) blogger equivalent of YouTube’s Geriatric 1927 in my book!
Musings of a middle age male are “opinions and observations on Middle Age, Travel, Retirement, Politics, Children, Parents, Growing Old, Staying Young, Marriage, Family, Citizenship, Society and life in general. ”
Excerpt from Musings of a middle age male:
I am now totally confused and slightly embarrassed that I still, after reading the definitions, am not sure if the woman was incorrect in adding “verbally” to the end of her comment or at the least if it was correct but unnecessary.
I probably do not know the answer to this because I skipped many English classes in high school in order to spend the time with my sweetheart during her lunch breaks and spare periods. From an educational point of view this obviously was not the best choice, however the skipped classes turned into a romance that has taken through thirty three wonderful years of marriage. At the end of the day when we sit down together over a glass of red wine and I look into her eyes, it doesn’t really matter to me whether I know if “I spoke with him verbally” is correct or not. Skipping the classes was an excellent choice!
