Our culture is a Prison. It is a Prison that keeps its inmates locked in a battle to “get ahead.” It keeps its inmates looking for “growth” and “success.” And it keeps its inmates from getting the one thing that they really want. Happiness. The Prison is breaking down. Cracks have slowly appeared since the Prison was first built about 10,000 years ago. Now those cracks have become large holes. For most, the holes are not large enough to escape through. But they are close. The walls are brittle and crumbling. It’s just a matter of time before they fall.
This blog is for those prisoners who wish to break free from the Prison. They wish to stop the treadmill that their ancestors have run on for 10,000 years. It is for those who wish to live in the free world that all of our ancestors have lived in for nearly 3 million years.
That is not to say that they wish to run back to “nature” and live in the trees eating grubs. Some wish to do that, but most don’t. That is not necessary for breaking from the crumbling Prison.
You can live free without giving up air conditioning, computers, electricity or cars. Those objects do not rely on the Prison to operate.
The blog, authored by Brian Keller-Heikkila, explores the Prison and it’s impending breakdown. Every week (generally Friday), you can explore how to escape from the Prison and escape the falling debris as it crumbles. It explores how you can live free, but without telling you how you must live. There are many ways to live free.
