Actor in Exile started as a series of emails to my friends, a forum where I could amuse, entertain, complain and blow off steam. In it’s blog form, Actor in Exile is a window, a voyeuristic view of what REALLY happens on stage, back stage and in the rest of the actor’s life, a life unlike any other. Oh, and there’s the occasional rant as well. I can’t help myself, it just comes out.
As an actor, I am passionate about telling a good story and continue, with every show, to learn how to NOT ‘act’. As a person I am vulgar & have a filthy mouth & mind but will be the most loyal friend you ever had if I deem you worthy. I drink too much, smoke too much & fart too much but insist on good food made from REAl ingredients, not processed prepacked crap. I try to live my life with Roz Russell’s quote in mind: “Life is a banquet and most poor fuckers are starving”.
