I’m an Irish-American Reformed Christian currently living in a small town in the California Sierra Foothills, in the gold country. I’m enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and will begin active duty on April 25, 2006. I disagree with the war in Iraq and take a generally isolationist stance on foreign policy, but I am not a pacifist and believe in our nation’s duty to maintain a strong military.
Pumpkinhead will primarily focus on political issues from a libertarian/independent perspective. Recent posts have included mentions of retired Democrat Senator Zell Miller and his pro-life activism, a brief overview of the Irish “Bloody Sunday” incident, and my review of the recent “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” film. Upcoming topics will be SCOTUS Justice Alito’s anti-death penalty vote, the consequences of last year’s “torture” ban, and anti-war coverage of Gulf War II.
