This has been a huge week for Yahoo and their Social Media – Life Engine direction as they have launched Yahoo Answers and acquired del.icio.us within a 2 day span. Yahoo’s acquisition of del.icio.us adds to their current gameplan of building a user controlled and socially integrated web content and search experience, complete with tagging, image sharing, customization, blogging and full online communications integration. Yahoo is proactively gearing up to be the information portal of choice for the ‘Always On’ generation.
