Politics is in the forefront of the news today – U.S. politics, especially. We all know how the whole world follows the happenings in the United States and I am no exception. Instead of just reading the news, though, I prefer to read through blogs. I find more depth and personal insights by doing this.
One blog that I recently discovered is The Orvetti Factor. Its tagline is “Politics, culture, navel-gazing from Columbia Heights, D.C.” Now if that tagline isn’t enough to grab your attention, then I would be hard pressed to find one that would! Though it has a wide variety of topics, the most recent posts are quite political in nature.

I don’t watch TV all that much but from the little viewing that I did in the past week, I saw a LOT about the Tour de France. I also heard a bit more about it when the news about some cyclists testing positive for drugs came out. Obviously, cycling is in this season. If you are hooked on this sport or if you are merely (slightly) interested, I suggest visiting Cycling Art Blog. Richard Lee, the blogger, really knows a lot about the sport and writes with a passion that cannot be ignored. Don’t be misled, though, there are topics here and there that are not solely about cycling.

Spirituality is something that we should all be concerned about. These days, we tend to get all caught up in our busy schedules. Oftentimes, we overlook our spiritual side. Now this is really my own opinion as I know that there are people who do not put much weight on spirituality. However, if you are interested in these things, you might want to pay a visit to We Are All One, a blog about enlightenment. From the posts that I have read, it leans towards Eastern philosophies. I am not saying that it is the end all be all of spirituality but you do get tons of insight.

Children are a gift from God and they always seem to have a way to make even the hardest of hearts melt. They are certainly cute as buttons but they are also prone to injuries and danger as they cannot really fend for themselves. That is why parents have to always be vigilant when it comes to the safety of babies and toddlers.
There are no clear and cut rules as to how to take care of babies and toddlers but we can find tips and guidelines with regard to rearing children. One very informative site that I would recommend is the blog of Safe Tots UK. It is focused mainly on younger kids and provides a lot of practical tips on how to keep these little angels safe in different situations.

One of the best things about the Internet is the ability to discover a lot of new things. More often than not, you would probably never have the chance to learn about these things if you were not connected to the Internet. Such is the Age of Information – everything and anything is available at our fingertips!
I was browsing through the submission e-mails when I saw an interesting name – Bibi’s Box. The blog itself did not disappoint. It showcases various artwork, cartoons, and the like which I have never seen before. From political cartoons to posters to sculptures about culture, the blog’s content enthralled me. Looking for something different? Look inside Bibi’s Box.
